Another update from Doctor83 has been released for the SRBMiner-Multi 2.3.9 program. Following the recent mandatory update to version 2.3.8, a new release has arrived for Dynex miners, fixing some of the invalid share issues that were present in the 2.3.8 update, as well as improving the performance of many graphics cards (GPUs). Additionally, in the new release, the development fee is reduced to 2% for mining DNX, and if you mine DNX paired with ZIL (Zilliqa has a DevFee of %0), you get additional profit from this without additional casting. There are other fixes and improvements, but these are mainly aimed at improving the Dynex mining experience and slightly increasing performance, at least for some users…

A quick test of the new SRBMiner-Multi 2.3.9 release shows some pretty good results. Not only is the higher hashrate from the earlier 2.3.7 release available again for Nvidia users (at least 3000-series), but you also get a bit more than you should have gotten in the older version. The performance drop that was present in version 2.3.8 is now gone, and with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 you should be back to the same level as version 2.3.7 in terms of hashrate or even a bit higher. And miners with RTX 3080 and RTX 3080 will be even happier, as these GPUs also get an additional boost (3-5% on average), and it should be higher than the 3070, so they’ll be a bit faster than in 2.3.7. And let’s not forget the 0.5% reduction in DNX development fees, so that’s definitely helpful.

How to start mining

The easiest way to start using SRBMiner is to configure the program from the command line. Just create/edit a ready-made .bat file (Windows) or open a terminal (Linux).

Commands to run on Windows:

How to configure .bat file

In order to start mining we need to create or edit a file with the extension  .bat. Specify the following commands in it:

  1. SRBMiner-MULTI.exe – command to launch the SRBMiner application.
  2. --disable-cpu – disable mining on the processor.
  3. --algorithm autolykos2 – specify the algorithm for mining.
  4. --pool ergo.herominers.com:10250 – specify the address and port of the pool.
  5. --wallet xgG5rYtg1sGwdvoXGJs3iXJgmy1EQ9p5f1rCAfu6zH indicate coin purse. You can get a wallet either on an exchange or install a cold wallet.
  6. --gpu-boost 3 – used to increase the hashrate of your GPU. The parameter is activated only if the miner is launched with administrator rights.

The program is launched as usual, by double-clicking on the file with the .bat extension

  6. --gpu-target-temperature 70 – the program will try to maintain this temperature
  7. --gpu-off-temperature 83 – the miner will turn off when this temperature is reached and turn on when it drops
  8. --send-stales – send obsolete shares to the pool (some pools partially pay for them or award bonuses).
  9. --enable-restart-on-rejected – automatic restart of the miner if too many rejected shares

We wrote in the batch file only those commands that will help you connect to the pool and start the process of mining cryptocurrency. However, to improve performance, you may need to configure some other command line arguments, depending on your hardware type.
