XMRig – High performance open source cross-platform miner RandomX, CryptoNight, KawPow, AstroBWT and Argon2, with official Windows and Linux support. Program for mining coins on the RandomX and CryptoNight algorithms. Suitable for both AMD and Nvidia video cards and processors. The program has a commission to the developer in the form of 1-5%. In this step-by-step instruction, we will tell you how to set up the commission and body shirts for different coins.

Donation & DevFee

  • Пожертвование по умолчанию 1% (1 минута из 100 минут) может быть увеличено с помощью параметра donate-level или отключено в исходном коде.
  • XMR: 48edfHu7V9Z84YzzMa6fUueoELZ9ZRXq9VetWzYGzKt52XU5xvqgzYnDK9URnRoJMk1j8nLwEVsaSWJ4fhdUyZijBGUicoD

Usage and Customization

The preferred way to set up a miner is through a JSON configuration file as it is more flexible and user-friendly. The CLI does not cover all features such as mining profiles for different algorithms. Important parameters can be changed at runtime without rebooting the miner by editing the config file or making API calls.

Fast start

  1. download the program
  2. unzip to any convenient place
  3. edit the .bat file with the desired coin (change the wallet to your own)

Mining RandomX (Monero XMR)

To mine coins on the randomx algorithm, we need to create or edit a ready-made batch file for the coin you need. These are basic settings that are sufficient for mining. We’ll look at the secondary settings later.

Decoding the contents of the batch file:

Настройка батника xmrig для майнинга Monero
  1. xmrig – this key will indicate which program will be launched. We leave it as it is. For Nvidia, we will specify xmrig-nvidia
  2. -a randomx – specify the algorithm. For Monero, leave this one. For coins on the cryptonight-lite algorithm, we indicate it
  3. -o pool.supportxmr.com – we indicate the address of your pool. In this example, we have supportxmr, because at the time of this writing, it has received the largest number of positive reviews
  4. 5555 – after the pool address, we indicate the pool port with a colon. for dwarfpool it is 8050
  5. -u 4ALcw9nTAStZSshoWVUJakZ6tLwTDhixhQUQNJkCn4t3fG3MMK19WZM44HnQRvjqmz4LkkA8t565v7r34 your digital key. Get it on the cryptocurrency exchange, or install a cold wallet
  6. –donate-level = 1 – set up the miner’s commission. By default, it is 5%. level = 1 means 1%
