Trust Wallet guide: how to download, install, restore and customize

Trust Wallet – is a multi-cryptocurrency wallet accessible on a mobile device, capable of storing many different cryptoassets, with more than 1 million active users. The service was acquired by major cryptocurrency exchange Binance to integrate into their system as a standard wallet. Originally designed to be compatible with the Ethereum network, the wallet can store all tokens of that network, as well as other BEP2 and Bitcoin wallets. The wallet prides itself on being the most reliable and secure cryptocurrency wallet.

Supported cryptocurrencies:

Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM), Zcash (ZEC), Dash (DASH), TRON (TRX), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Tezos (XTZ), Cosmos (ATOM), Ethereum Classic (ETC), GoChain (GO), POA Network (POA), VeChain (VET), Wanchain (WAN), Qtum (QTUM), Ontology (ONT), Groestlcoin (GRS), ICON (ICX), Theta (THETA), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ravencoin (RVN), Nano (NANO), Decred (DCR), Zilliqa (ZIL), Aion (AION), Waves (WAVES), Aeternity (AE), Nebulas (NAS), Algorand (ALGO), Digibyte (DGB) and many others.

This multicoin wallet supports all major blockchains in the Ethereum ecosystem and works with any ERC20, ERC721, and ERC223 tokens. The development team continues to work on adding support for new cryptocurrencies and even offers users to share their favorite coins to add to Trust Wallet.

Install Trust Wallet

Select Trust Wallet from the App/PlayStore and install the app on your device. Once the download is complete, open the app.

Download Trust Wallet:

You can start creating a new wallet by selecting Create a New Wallet.

Creating a wallet and recovery phrase

After selecting Create a New Wallet, you must complete the wallet backup. Next, a restore phrase will appear on the screen, which MUST be marked.

An easy way to do this is to write down the displayed passphrase on a piece of paper outside of the Internet.

After you have recorded the information, verify the wallet by entering the requested passphrase words. After successfully entering the passphrase, continue with the verification.

It is important to keep this information safe and not share it with anyone, as you risk losing your cryptocurrency.

Pin code and wallet biometrics

To complete the setup, give the wallet a name and set a coded pin code to better secure the device. Trust Wallet also has the option to enable biometric authentication for fast and secure access.

A password or fingerprint will be required when unlocking the wallet, sending funds, and decrypting the recovery phrase. By setting a wallet name and access code, you can add the cryptoassets you want to use to store in your Multi-Coin Wallet.

Adding/removing assets and obtaining an address

To manage your wallets and assets, select the “Trust” symbol in the bottom left corner. This will take you to the “Multi-Coin Wallet” section, which already lists several major cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC) and Binance Coins (BNB). To add other assets, click on the “plus” symbol in the top right corner and search for an asset by name or symbol, marking it as active. This will add the token to your multicoin wallet list.

Once you have enabled the coin wallets you wish to use, you can view the wallet address to receive by selecting the asset and clicking Get. The Trust will now display the wallet address in text format and in a QR code format that can be transferred.

Please ensure that you only send compatible assets to the correct wallet.

For Ethereum, the wallet address will look like this:

Ethereum Address: 0xc18129783db3165e6629fdfb73b851cadf5c2cd9

Click on the leftmost icon to copy your wallet address in full. This address is required to receive the cryptocurrency. This process can be repeated for each of the included wallets.
