How to mine Neurai (XNA) on GPU?


Recently there have been a few PoW-based Tier 1 crypto projects that have shown good results when mining on GPUs, such as Kaspa (KAS), Radiant (RXD), IronFish (IRON), which can now be mined on FPGAs, and KAS even on ASIC miners, so GPU mining for these projects kind of doesn’t make sense. NEXA is also apparently about to follow in their footsteps with FPGA support, although even now GPU mining is not very profitable, probably due to the recent listing on NiceHash.

The good news is that GPU miners still have a choice, and there are a few other interesting projects to look out for. One such relatively interesting project is Neurai (XNA) in particular, which is currently among the most profitable coins being mined on Nvidia GPUs, although the profits aren’t insane, at least you should be in the plus even at the moment.

According to the company’s website, Neurai (XNA) is designed to be a platform to harness the power of artificial intelligence algorithms for efficient data analytics, predictive modeling, decision making and connectivity to IoT devices using blockchain assets.

The project is based on the Ravencoin (RVN) code and uses the KAWPOW hashing algorithm for mining, which is good news for GPU miners. Although, if you’re familiar with this algorithm, you know that it’s not the most energy efficient, which means higher power consumption compared to KAS as the algorithm is both GPU and memory demanding. Neurai (XNA) uses a 1-minute block time and has a block size of 8MB, the maximum number of XNA coins is 21 billion, the project uses micro-halving with 5% every 10 days and is expected to mine about 57% of the total coins in the first year. This is good news for anyone who will start mining sooner and buy some coins sooner than later.

Neurai (XNA) can be mined on several pools, the largest of which is currently Rplant with more than half the hash rate of the network, but can also be mined on Neuraipool, Zergpool, Ekapool, Zpool and others. The exchange where you can already trade mined XNA coins is TxBit, or you can buy a bundle and hold it while the price is still very low.

Neurai (XNA) can be mined with any mining software that supports the KAWPOW algorithm, although the latest updated program that officially supports XNA is bzMiner 15.4.0.

Below is an example of XNA mining on an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU with a hashrate of around 29-30 MH/s per GPU at a moderate power limit of 150W, GPU clock speed of 1250MHz and +1000MHz on video memory:

Don’t forget to replace YOUR_WALLET and WORKER_ID with your own to be able to actually mine, also the example uses Rplant as a mining pool. The hash rate can be changed either up or down, but you will need to increase the power consumption, which will not improve the hash rate much. If you want lower power consumption, a good option would be to limit the power to 120W with less memory and clock speed.
