Coinbase

The Coinbase Exchange has begun to consider options for launching ETFs on crypto-currencies.

At the moment, Coinbase already offers a wide range of opportunities for investors, including the storage of various assets and maintenance of transactions with them. Now the company expects to use the experience of BlackRock to launch an exchange product focused on digital currencies.

What is planned:
Sources close to the trading platform do not exclude that in the composition of the investment basket Coinbase will include not only bitcoin, but also other large coins. It is known that BlackRock representatives did not give any concrete recommendations to the Exchange employees.

Additionally:
It should be noted that the CEO of BlackRock, Larry Fink, is critical of crypto-currencies and has repeatedly said that the company does not yet consider the possibility of investing capital in digital assets.

Outcome:
Thus, Coinbase with its plans for bitcoin-ETF joins other giants who are eager to launch similar products. This list includes companies Gemini, Bitwise Asset Management and VanEck.
